Scaffolding Design

The majority of our scaffolding constructions use system scaffolding.

We use steel Layher components manufactured in Germany. This is a modular scaffold system engineered to provide lightweight but strong solutions, making installation and dismantling faster and more efficient while optimizing strength and safety. This helps ensure your project is completed faster. Our scaffolding is suited for complex projects, including specialized architectural features in new construction or building restorations, or the demands of larger-scale building construction.

Our modular scaffolding provides temporary access solutions for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and maintenance projects. All scaffolding includes guardrails to ensure working safety and comply with Ontario OHSA standards. Scaffold systems are designed to withstand 4x or more their peak load, including the weight of equipment, materials, and workers, making them fully safe solutions for worker access.

We can also provide tube and clamp scaffolds, which can be adapted to provide greater precision for projects such as narrow spaces between buildings or interior construction scaffolding. For greater worker and public protection, we can install toe boards along platforms to prevent slippage or tools and debris falling off scaffolding.

Do I Need an Engineer for a Scaffold?

For scaffolding above a 15 metre height (30 feet) in Ontario, an engineer is required. Scaffolding regulations fall under both the Canada Labour Code and the provincial regulation Construction Projects in Ontario.

Engineered scaffold plans are created by a professional engineer, defining the layout, size, equipment, and load ratings of the scaffold. They will also specify any loads scaffold will impose on existing structures.

When we provide a scaffold design or installation, we ensure our scaffolds are constructed, installed, and removed by all applicable federal and location standards and regulations.

Do I Need a Permit for a Scaffold?

Permits may be required if the scaffolding extends over public space or exceeds a certain height. We will advise you during the scaffolding quote and design process if your project requires a permit and can assist with this process.
